NIS, INTERPOL collaborate to fight transborder crimes

In concerted effort to curb the menace of transborder crimes, Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS and INTERPOL have collaborated to achieve this feat.

This collaboration was made when Ag. Comptroller General, NIS, Caroline Wuraola Adepoju played host to His Excellency, the INTERPOL President, Major General Dr Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi who is on a visit to Nigeria for the very first time.

In his entourage was AIG Garba Baba Umar who is also the Vice President INTERPOL Africa.

According to a press release issued yesterday by the Service Spokesperson, DCI Dotun Aderigbe, issues of mutual understanding and continuous cooperation were discussed as the bulk of the functions of the organization relies solely on Immigration.

Also in attendance were the Management Team of the Service.
