…hails aviation minister, Sen. Hadi Sirika
The President General, Global Peace Movement International, UK Dr Mike Uyi has commended Air Peace for the feat it has attained in its operation to become one of the biggest airlines in Africa, noting that Nigerians should be greatful.
Uyi stated this at a news conference in Benin City, in Edo state on Friday saying that the economy of Nigeria would suffer if the airline goes under.
He said Nigerians should appreciate the patriotism of the CEO of Air Peace, Chief Allen Onyema and his entire management for changing the negative narratives of the Nigerian aviation industry.
According Dr. Uyi, “We should not be quick to forget the good things Air Peace has done for the aviation industry and Nigerias’.
“Today, through Air Peace, we can fly Nigerian flag to different countries of the world. We should feel proud of this, Air Peace deserves respect and commendation”.
“Allen’s show of patriotism is second to none in the history of Nigeria as a country. His response to critical issues, especially when it concerns Nigerias’ live and property within and outside regardless of ethnic background is a great show of love to Nigeria”.
“The federal government should as a matter of urgency always consider Air Peace management in aviation negotiations for smooth Airfare for Nigerians”.
“Global Peace Movement is also calling on the federal government to empower our local airlines as against all the international conspiracies going on to boost our economy”.
Uyi said GPMI is also commending Sen. Hadi Sirika, the Minister of State for Aviation for the recent transformation in the industry.
“Sirika’s tenure as the minister in the sector had given Nigeria the highest rating in air safety and under whom the nation’s two busiest airports; Lagos and Abuja were certified for the first time in the annals the country”, Uyi noted.
