Nigerian Guild of Editors visits CUSTECH Osara, says Kogi tax payers money being judicious utilized

The Vice Chancellor of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Engr. Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu, on Saturday played host to the Executive Members of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE).

The Vice Chancellor who received the Editors in his office at CUSTECH, Osara, appreciated the team for coming around to see with their naked eyes the pace at which the fastest growing specialized University in the North Central part of Nigeria is moving.

Engr. Prof. Abdulrahaman Asipita Salawu highlighted the programmes currently running at CUSTECH to the visiting NGE team, saying that by God’s grace, the institution’s College of Medicine will commence by 2024/2025 Academic Session.

As part of the visit, the Vice Chancellor took the NGE team round the ongoing projects which are almost at their completion stage.

Responding to the warm reception given by the Vice Chancellor of CUSTECH, the President of NGE, Mr. Eze Anaba, expressed how delighted they are as a team. He said having seen how Kogi State tax payers money is being put to judicious use in the university, they are more than grateful to the good governance in Kogi State that has brought this ivory tower I to existence. He advised the Vice Chancellor to ensure that the standard and quality the university have started with at the moment is sustained without allowing it to tampered with.

Furthermore, Mr. Eze Anaba spoke expressly of most of the courses offered in CUSTECH Osara, as courses that can provide solutions to the challenges faced by the country at the moment. He stressed that he is looking forward to CUSTECH graduates providing better solutions to many pressing problems especially in the area of Cyber Security that is already offered as a course at CUSTECH, Osara.

The Kogi State Commissioner for Information, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo and the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abdulazeez Adams Adeiza were part of those who led the NGE team to CUSTECH, Osara.
