Niger PDP vows to sanction erring members who contravene campaign rules

Niger State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP has warned that it will not hesitate to sanction any member no matter how highly placed that contravenes the rules of the party during campaigns.

Tanko Beji, the state party chairman stated this while briefing journalists on the decisions reached by the State Working Committee and 25 local government party chairmen meetings held at the party secretariat in Minna.

According to him, the party’s campaign will be issue-based, holistic from the bottom – up by engaging the people to ensure victory, adding that the Muslim/ Christian ticket was one of its strategy.

The State Party chairman said,” the party has put in place a strategy to monitor the activities of all the support groups and individuals to ensure all-inclusiveness, we are tasking them to ensure victory for all its candidates at both the state and national levels”

” As we approach the 2023 general elections, the PDP is surely out for victory devoid of a campaign of calumny but will speak on the ills of the ruling APC. The PDP is the only alternative for Nigerians to have effective and efficient service delivery”.

Beji also disabused the minds of what he described as detractors saying that the party campaigned for its presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and his running mate while at the state level to do the same for the governorship candidate, Isah Liman Kantigi and all other party candidates.

Beji further revealed that over 100 vehicles have been purchased with other materials including posters sets for commissioning to kick start its campaign to ensure success.

He then congratulated former military president, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida on his 81st birthday celebration while eulogizing him on his achievements as an elder statesman and the architect of democracy in Nigeria.
