NGF Reacts to Maiduguri Bombings, Demands Stronger Action Against Terrorists

‎The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has condemned the multiple suicide bombings that rocked Maiduguri on Monday night, describing the attacks as shocking and reprehensible.


‎In a statement issued on Tuesday, NGF Chairman, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, denounced the incident as evil and unacceptable, noting that it amounted to a senseless loss of innocent lives. He called on security agencies to intensify efforts to dismantle the capacity of terrorist groups and prevent further attacks.


‎The Forum expressed its condolences to the government and people of Borno State, assuring them of its solidarity during this difficult time.


‎“We stand firmly with the people of Borno State and will continue to collaborate with the Federal Government to eliminate terrorism across the country,” the statement read.


‎The NGF also condemned the attacks on civilians and government facilities, reiterating its unwavering support for security forces in their ongoing operations to curb insurgency.
