The Osun State Police Command has announced that the new Commissioner of Police, Faleye Sunday Olaleye, posted to the command has assumed office.
In a statement signed by Yemisi Opalola, the command Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), the arrival of the new CP is sequel to the recent promotion and redeployment of former Commissioner of Police, AIG Olawale Olokode.
According to the statement, the new Commissioner of Police, Olaleye was born in Iyin-Ekiti, Ifelodun/Irepodun local government area of Ekiti State.
“The Commissioner of Police, a holder of M.SC in Public Administration and B.SC in Geography. He was appointed into the Nigeria Police Force in March, 1990 as Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (Cadet ASP).
“CP Faleye Olaleye, a proud Nigerian, has served in several States of the country. Some of the States he has served include but not limited to the following: Delta, Ekiti, Oyo, Ondo, Osun, Ebonyi, Plateau, Taraba, FHQ Abuja/Lagos, Zone 5 Benin, Zone XI Osogbo, Angola (United Nations) among others.
“A pure-bred professional who has, since joining the Force, made waves in the departments that hold the Nigeria Police namely: Administration, Operations and Investigations like a colossus.
“CP Faleye was the Commissioner of Police, Counter Terrorism Unit before his transfer to this Command this month.
“An officer known for his transparency, whose open door policy is worthy of emulation.”
The statement also revealed that CP Olaleye is happily married with children.
