Neville, Redknapp, Carragher agree on country to win World Cup

Former Premier League stars, Gary Neville, Jamie Redknapp and Jamie Carragher, have predicted the country to win this year’s FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Thirty-two countries will be contesting for the 2022 World Cup trophy in Qatar.

The tournament will commence on Sunday, with hosts Qatar facing Ecuador in a Group A tie at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor.

Providing their predictions, Neville told Sky Sports: “We always feel we’ve got great players in this country, and we do, but when you look at the Brazil squad, you think, “Oh my God – where have they come from?”

“I am quite confident they will win it.”

On his part, Redknapp added, “Neymar is in great form again – I have gone with Brazil as I feel it could be their time again.”

Similarly, Carragher said, “It was either Brazil or Argentina for me. They’re the two favourites, but I’d love to see [Lionel] Messi win the World Cup.”
