Nasarawa: Gov Sule nominates 16 commissioner-nominees

Governor Abdullahi Sule has submitted a list of 16 commissioner-nominees to the Nasarawa State House of Assembly for confirmation.

The Speaker of the House, Danladi Jatau, announced the nominations on Monday during a plenary session, as he read the governor’s letter.

The list includes prominent figures such as former lawmakers Tanko Tunga and Mohammed Ibrahim Aggah, who previously represented Awe North and Nassarawa Eggon East constituencies, respectively.

Also nominated are the immediate past Executive Chairmen of Lafia and Nassarawa Local Government Councils, Aminu Muazu Maifata and Mohammed Sani Otto.

Other nominees are Yakubu Kwanta (Akwanga), Princess Margaret Itake Elayo (Keana), Munirat Abdullahi (Doma), Dr. Gaza Gwamna (Toto), Mu’azu Gosho (Wamba), and John Mamman (Kokona).

Additionally, three legal practitioners made the list: David Moyi (Obi), Jugbo Hauwa Samuel (Wamba), and Isaac Danladi Amadu (Karu). Dr. Ibrahim Tanko (Keffi), Comrade Gabriel Agbashi (Doma), and retired Commissioner of Police Usman Baba are also among those nominated for commissioner appointments.
