Former Real Madrid striker, Michael Owen has rated Manchester City’s chances of winning a treble – Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup, under their manager Pep Guardiola this season.
Man City booked their place in the Champions League final on Wednesday after beating Real Madrid 4-0 in the semi-final second-leg encounter at the Etihad Stadium.
A brace from Bernardo Silva, an own goal from Eder Militao and a strike from Julian Alvarez gave Man City the victory over Real Madrid.
Owen believes Man City can win the treble this season after beating Real Madrid.
“They [Man City] absolutely ripped Real Madrid apart. That first half performance was as good as I can remember,” Owen told BT Sport.
“I mean, they killed them straight away, broke their hearts and the game was already over at halftime. Very professional in the second half and the damage was already done. Sensational, they have been for the last couple of months and everybody is fit in their squad.
“Everybody has been playing at their top level, they have got a manager who is an absolute genius and this team, I cannot see them doing anything other than winning all three trophies.”
