Former Manchester United and Liverpool star, Michael Owen has advised Tottenham Hotspur striker, Harry Kane not to join Bayern Munich despite the player reaching an agreement with the Bundesliga champions.
He asked the 30-year-old to join his (Owen) former club, Real Madrid or any top two clubs in the Premier League instead.
The England legend said Bayern are a “massive club” but it wouldn’t be a great achievement to win the league in a country dominated by one club.
On his Twitter handle, Owen wrote “I know @FCBayern are a massive club and I have huge respect for them but if I were @HKane I’d stay put. There’s no great achievement in winning a trophy with them. @realmadrid I would understand. Or one or two top @premierleague clubs for that matter. Becoming the all time Premier League top goal scorer @SpursOfficial is a bigger achievement than winning the league in a country dominated by 1 team.”
Harry Kane is set to undergo his medicals with Bayern Munich after the club reached an agreement with Tottenham on a £100million deal for the England captain on Thursday night.
