Meta to restore Hisbah’s hacked Facebook account – Board

Daredevil hackers have taken over the official Facebook page of Kano State Hisbah Board, releasing and posting inappropriate and explicit content.

The incident, which happened on Wednesday, has continued to attract condemnation from members of the public over the ugly trend.

The Commander General of the board, Aminu Daurawa, who confirmed the hack to newsmen, said the board had addressed the situation.

“Kano State Hisbah Board is aware that its Facebook page has been hacked and inappropriate things are being shared. On behalf of the board, I call on people to help solve this problem,” he stated.

Daurawa assured the public that the board’s ICT department was actively working to restore the page and was in touch with Meta to resolve the issue.

He urged the community to report the hacked page to Meta in English to help prevent further dissemination of inappropriate content.
