Meet Afenifere, Ohanaeze, others, to unite Nigeria – Agbakoba tells Tinubu

A former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Olisa Agbakoba has urged President Bola Tinubu to meet with regional socio-cultural organisations to unite Nigeria.

Agbakoba said Tinubu should meet with Afenifere and Ohanaeze Ndigbo.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, lamented that Nigeria is very divided and needs to be united for progress.

Speaking with Arise Television, Agbakoba said Tinubu needs the support of regional bodies to reach their people and unite the country.

According to him: “A lot is expected of him and here are a couple of things, I would say national unity because the country is so divided that nothing can happen without President Tinubu making a big attempt to unite Nigerians.

“I would suggest that he can call a meeting of the sub-nationalities of Nigeria. The Afeniferes, the Ohanaezes, because these guys have a very strong hold on their ethnic nationalities.

”If that happens and it is successful, that then pushes the way forward for him to unleash a couple of big programmes.”
