Massive clearout looms in Shooting Stars

There are clear indications that a mass exodus of players will hit Shooting Stars following the team’s not too impressive showing in the Nigeria Premier League last season.

News correspondent learnt that the management of the Oluyole Warriors has concluded plans not to extend the contract of underperformed players.

According to a source close to the team, eight players will be allowed to leave the club.

The source further confirmed that talks are ongoing with other clubs over potential new signings.

Shooting Stars finished the 2022/23 season in sixth position on the Group A table missing out on a Super Six playoffs spot.

The 2023/24 NPL season is expected to start in August.
