Many houses affected as fire guts Ogun Free Trade Zone

Many houses have been reportedly affected as a fire outbreak rocked the Ogun State Guangdong Free Trade Zone in Igbesa.

The fire incident occured on Sunday morning, January 11, 2026.

According to a resident who spoke to Vanguard, the fire was triggered by a gas explosion from a foam-producing company in the industrial park.

The source added that several nearby houses were affected by the inferno.

In the video sighted by our correspondent, men of the Fire Service were seen trying to extinguish the fire.
