Many feared dead as suspected herdsmen sack Adijah community in Benue

Several people have been feared dead and others injured after suspected herdsmen sacked the Adijah community in Ugbokpo, Apa Local Government Area of Benue State, on Thursday afternoon.

Newsmen learnt that the attackers stormed the village, which is located a few kilometres away from the Otukpo-Oweto Road and opened fire on residents, killing an unspecified number of villagers.

One of the community members told newsmen that residents have fled to neighbouring villages.
