LG boss bans night hawking over sexual immorality by minors in Jigawa

Hadejia local government council in Jigawa State has banned young boys and girls from night hawkings.

This was contained in a statement signed by the media aide to the local government Chairman, Salisu Sogi Hadejia, issued to newsmen.

He said the hawkers have been banned from entering and roaming markets in the locality from 7:00am and after 6:00 pm.

He said the new law is part of the council’s efforts to checkmate suspected immorality in the area, including sexual relations between the hawkers and others in the markets.

The local government Chairman, Bala AbdulKadir advised parents and guardians of the young people who sell in the market to complement the government’s efforts by ensuring good moral upbringing of their children.

He warned that the law would not be lenient on those who go against it.
