Porto goalkeeper, Diogo Costa has said that he hopes to remain at the club after being linked with a move to Manchester United this summer.

Manchester United have agreed on a contract extension with their current first-choice, David de Gea, whose deal will expire at the end of the month, but the Spain international has come under fire after several below-par performances this season.

However, Costa, 23, is among the goalkeepers on Man United’s radar.

When asked directly about a possible move to Man United after Porto’s Portuguese Cup on Sunday, Costa replied, as quoted by Metro UK: “That’s the internet.

“It is a happiness and an honour to play for my favourite club.

“What they say is what they say, there is nothing concrete, I have a contract until 2027 and I hope to continue, let’s see.”
