Leeds United sack manager Jesse Marsch

Leeds United have sacked manager Jesse Marsch.

The manager was dismissed after a recent poor run of results.

Leeds are yet to win a Premier League match since November 5, 2022, and the American, who took over from Marcelo Bielsa last season, has now been shown the exit door.

Their 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Sunday was the last straw as they are 17th in the Premier League table just outside the relegation zone on goal difference.

The club released a brief statement on Monday confirming the sack, adding that a successor would be announced later in the week.
