Late Hours Tricycle Restrictions Kick Off in Kano

The Managing Director, Kano State Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA), Hon. Baffa Babba Dan,agundi, yesterday reaffirmed the ban or restrictions of tricycle movement in the state after 10Pm effective from this Thursday 21 July 2022.

According to him, the decision was unanimously adopted after the state security council members deemed it necessary in a bid to further safeguard the state from emerging security threats.

Baffa warned that anyone who violates the order without justification shall be prosecuted accordingly.

In view of the above, the KAROTA Boss said, arrangements have been made for alternative means of transportation during the affected hours.

“I wish to emphasize that, this decision was unanimously adopted after the state security council members deemed it necessary to further safeguard the state from emerging security threats.

“Anyone who violates the order without justification shall be prosecuted accordingly”.

” I urge the general public to accord us every necessary support for the safety of lives, properties and the state at large”, he added.

Earlier, Ashiru Umar D.O, the State Chairman, Kano Transportation Forum who was at the agency’s headquarters on solidarity visit, confirmed readiness to continue operations during the affected hours to ensure people on special duties, travellers, patients and others on emergencies without personal means of transportation gets to their destinations.
