Lagos govt begins search for landlord of collapsed 3-storey building

The government of Lagos State on Saturday said it has launched a search for the owner of the 3-storey building which collapsed in Oremeta Street, Ojodu.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso said there is a need to find out the circumstances that could have caused the collapse of the building.

Recall that two people were reported dead while 24 others were rescued from the collapse of the building on 10 Oremeta Street in the Ojodu area of Lagos State.

The building which was housing a restaurant collapsed at about 8.32 am on Saturday, April 19.

Speaking on the incident, Omotoso said the owner of the building would be made to face the law.

“There is a procedure if there is any building collapse. The state government will find out how it happened.
