Lagos Court Jails Chinese National For Tearing Naira Notes

A Chinese man has been sentenced to 2 years in prison for tearing N3,200 ($8) into pieces in Lagos, Nigeria.

He has an option to pay a $482 (N200,000) fine instead of serving the jail sentence.

He reportedly tore the notes while immigration offices where searching for drugs in his luggage.
