La Liga: ‘That’s his attitude’ – Flick speaks on Lamine Yamal’s unhappiness at Barcelona

Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick, has answered a question about whether winger Lamine Yamal is unhappy at the club.

‎Flick spoke to reporters at his pre-match press conference ahead of Barcelona’s La Liga clash with Athletic Club on Thursday.

‎Reports had emerged that Yamal was unhappy after being taken off in Barcelona’s win over Elche on Sunday.

‎Flick was asked about the development regarding the Spain international.

‎“He had a minor issue, a headache. Lamine is a genius, it’s understandable,” Flick told reporters.

‎“He’s had three weeks off and has only trained a few days. Normally, he’s not at his peak.

‎“It’s normal that he wants to play. When you’re a true champion, you always strive to win the next title.

‎“That’s his attitude. Every player on the team is hungry to win a third consecutive league title. We’re ready, and we will fight for it.”
