Kwara chief of staff Prince AbdulKadir Mahe is dead

The chief of staff to the Kwara State Government, Prince AbdulKadir Aliyu Mahe is dead.

Intel Region reliably gathered that Prince AbdulKadir died at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH), on Saturday, December 28, 2024.

However, more details of his death is unknown as of press time and the Kwara government under Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazak is yet to release any statement concerning the demise of the chief of staff.

Prince Abdulkadir Aliyu Mahe was sworn in as the Chief of Staff to the Kwara State Government on November 3, 2024.

He earlier served as Secretary to the State Government under Governor Abdulrazaq.

Prince Abdulkadir who was a former Permanent Secretary in the Government House, Ilorin in 2003 also served as the Clerk of the State House of Assembly in 2004 and left in 2007.

He was a former top official of the defunct National Electric Power Authority (NEPA) and Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC).

He was son of the late 10th Emir of Ilorin, Mallam Aliyu Abdulkadir.

Prince Abdulkadir was also a cousin to the former Chief of Staff to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, Professor Ibrahim Agboola Gambari, who is also a prince in the Ilorin Emirate.
