…welcomes Kogi new Commissioner of Police CP Onuoha Bethrand
Ahead of the November, governorship election in Kogi state, Kogi NGOs Network, (KONGONET), has said that it is of utmost importance that all stakeholders in the state work together to ensure a peaceful, transparent, and inclusive electoral process.

In the letter signed by Ambassador Idris Ozovehe Muraina,
Chairperson of KONGONET, requested the firm commitment of the CP and his men to prioritizing the protection of lives and properties of Kogites before, during, and after the Gubernatorial election.
They maintained that as the chief law enforcement officer in the state, his role is integral in maintaining law and order, preventing electoral violence, and safeguarding the rights and safety of all citizens.
The group said, they are however confident and trust in the ability of the new CP, to lead the police force with professionalism, impartiality, and adherence to the rule of law.
