Member representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency of Kogi State in the House of Representatives, Salman Idris, on Tuesday announced his defection from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The lawmaker announced his defection to the ruling through a letter read by Speaker Abbas Tajudeen during plenary on Tuesday.
Rep Idris said his defection from the ADC was due to leadership crisis within the national leadership of his former party.
He said he took the decision after due consultations with his constituents and other stakeholders.
