Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, has confirmed that his team will be without five key players when they face Everton in a Premier League derby.
Klopp’s men will travel to Goodison Park to clash with Everton on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds head to the game after beating Newcastle United 2-1 in their last Premier League tie, while Frank Lampard’s men drew with Leeds United.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday, Klopp said the likes of Arthur Melo, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, Thiago Alcantara and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain would not feature against Everton.
“My information is it will not happen until tomorrow, the international clearance,” Klopp said. “We all hope he [Arthur] will be fine for Napoli.”
He added: “He [Henderson] is definitely out, he is injured, but the extent I don’t know.
“For Naby Keita, it’s a muscle injury, Ox [Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain] is a muscle injury also, and they will be out for a while,” Klopp added in his pre-match press conference.
“Thiago [Alcantara] is the closest of all [of them]. I think at the start of the week, next week, he will be in team training.”
The kick-off time for the match is 12.30 pm.
