Klopp responds to Guardiola’s claims everybody in England supports Liverpool

Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, has responded to Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola’s claim that everyone in England wants Liverpool to win the Premier League this season.

Guardiola had, during his post-match press conference after Man City demolished Newcastle United 5-0 on Sunday, insinuated that his team doesn’t enjoy as much support from the media as Klopp’s side.

However, reacting to Guardiola’s claim, Klopp suggested that is not the case.

The German also took a jab at Man City’s elimination from the UEFA Champions League at the hands of Real Madrid while Liverpool advanced to the final.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference on Monday ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League tie with Aston Villa at Villa Park on Tuesday, Klopp said, “I don’t know how Pep, after getting knocked out of CL and of course LFC made it to the final, we played Villarreal, they played Real Madrid.

“I have no idea if the whole country is supporting us. Maybe he knows more than me.”
