Katsina United appeals to supporters to shun violence

Katsina United have appealed to their supporters to remain law abiding during and after the North West Derby clash against Kano Pillars.

The Chanji Boys will lock horns with Kano Pillars at the Muhammed Dikko Stadium on Wednesday (today).

The director of safety and security operatives in the state made the appeal ahead of the matchday 22 fixture in Katsina.

They encouraged sports enthusiasts to desist from any act of evil prior and after the game.

The management also warned that anybody found guilty would be detained and prosecuted.

Meanwhile, a sitting arrangement has been designed for both the home fans and the visiting Kano Pillars to ensure a smooth encounter.

Recall that supporters of both teams met to strengthen their relationship at the start of the 2023-24 season.

The clash between both sides have recorded a high number of violence in the past.

In 2022, some youths suspected to be supporters of Kano Pillars damaged Katsina United bus after a goalless draw in Kano.
