Katsina Govt buys 10 armoured vehicles to boost war against bandits

In the bid to end the menace of bandits in Katsina State, the state governor, Aminu Bello Masari, has purchased 10 additional armoured vehicles worth over a N100 million to assist security operatives in the state.

“With the recent acquisition, the state now has at least 30 armoured vehicles to fight the diehard bandits in the state,” Masari said.

The governor, while presenting the armoured vehicles to security chiefs in the state on Tuesday at the State Government House, reiterated the commitment of his administration to end banditry in the state.

Masari noted that further efforts in conjunction with the Inspector General of Police and some local producers are underway to produce more armoury for security agents in the state.

While lauding the efforts of security personnel in the state, Masari assured that soon the menace of banditry and terrorism will be a thing of the past in the state and country at large.
