KASUPDA Plans Removal of Illegal Structures in Kaduna Metropolis

Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KASUPDA), says it has commenced the removal of temporary structures in the state metropolis.

In a statement on Friday, Head of Public Affairs Unit of the Authority, Nuhu Garba Dan’ayamaka, said the affected areas include- NDA bus stop, U/Dosa area, Kawo area, Mando Roundabout, Rabah Road, NAF Club Gate, Katuru Road, Isa Kaita Road, Alkali Road, Babban Saura area (Millennium City), T/Wada area, Barnawa, High Cost Junction axis, among others.

It said before now, a vigorous media sensitization was carried out for the people in the affected area to vacate, adding that the authority deemed necessary to clear the areas in order to give the state a befitting look.

It said erection of shops, containers, kiosks and signage without approvals, as well as the display of wares or goods on roads constited set-back to the beauty of the city.
