….. Says confusion caused by the tribunal must be reversed
Prominent Christian Leaders have joined their voices in the call for justice in the recent governorship election tribunal judgement in Kano.
Rev. John Benjamin a foremost Christian leader described the recent tribunal judgement in Kano State as a miscarriage of justice.
He said, in order to preserve the integrity of the judiciary, the higher appellate court must ensure justice to redeem itself.
Benjamin, also supported by Prelate of the Triumphant Global Network Incorporated, Prelate Dr. Adebayo Adejola, has warned that the political confusion could lead to unprecedented social disorder in the state.
He said the judgement which is more of ‘political scapegoat’ scenario is capable of causing chaos charging major actors to quickly ensure justice prevails.
The Christian leaders who spoke during different occasions said they had followed with keen interest about happenings in Kano State just as the whole world is watching urging that democracy should be allowed to prevail and the will of the majority of the people of the state should be respected.
In the same vain, a Civil Right Organization, Peace and Order Mandate, through its National Chairman, Comrade Ayodele Joseph, promised to monitor the event critically until justice prevails.
According to Joseph the image of the judiciary is at stake following the decision by the tribunal and can only be redeemed by reversing such bias judgement.
