Kano: Tribunal dismisses Gov Uba Sani preliminary objections

Kaduna State Governorship Election Tribunal has dismissed Governor Uba Sani’s motion to throw out the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s petition.

The judgement is being delivered as of the time of filing this report via zoom with security personnel stationed at strategic locations.

The PDP and its candidate, Isah Mohammed Ashiru, had filed a petition challenging the declaration of Sani of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the winner of the governorship election in Kaduna.

The Tribunal also dismissed the second preliminary objection regarding pre-hearing notice.

The judge pointed out that the first and respondents’ objection is “hereby dismissed”.

The court ruled that Isah Ashiru fully filed his petition within the time frame and was not out of time.
