Kaduna State needs a governor of inclusiveness – AA guber candidate

The Kaduna state gubernatorial candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) in the 2023 elections, Mr Timothy Adamu, says Kaduna State needs a governor that understands the people and how to carry them along in the act of governance.

He said the state’s leaders must institute a government of inclusiveness to ensure sustainable peace in the state.

Adamu who spoke in Kaduna on Friday said with sustainable peace and unity, the state has the potential to be a pacesetter in all spheres.

He said, “Kaduna state needs a governor that understands the people and how to carry them along in the act of governance for there to ensure absolute unity among the people thereby removing any doubt or fear of any kind.

“You will recall that during the leadership of Gov. Mohammed Ahmed Makarfi and late Gov. Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa, people freely interacted and there was nothing like any division based on religion or tribe but people mixed and there was absolute joy unlike what we have today that the state is sharply divided based on religion.”

Being the former capital of Northern Nigeria, he explained that Kaduna State needs a governor that understands and knows how to carry the people along in order to get the best from them.

He emphasized, “I strongly believed that with a governor that carries the people along, the state will definitely stand out as the best in the country. It will attract investors both local and foreign because of the location of the state with the core North, southern Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The state has a lot to benefit from if it has the right leader that will give it a good sense of direction.”

“A good governor needs to change the narratives in the state in order to showcase its full potential to the whole world. As it is, Kaduna State is lagging behind in agriculture, education and other spheres of life simply because there is insecurity in the state that has hindered people from freely going about their normal lives to earn a living,” he lamented.

He said by carrying the people along irrespective of any difference, there would be peace, unity and progress in every ramification in the state, stressing that unless a God-fearing governor emerges, the state would continue to have challenges in the area of peace.

He called on the electorates to go for competence and a candidate that would unite the citizens rather than a governor that will further confuse the already fragile society.

“We need peace, togetherness and above all, there should be brotherly love to be shown to all for better things to come the way of the people of Kaduna state,” he assured.
