Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha in his remarks said, “I am giving out this Sienna Bus to JATTO FM on the instructions of His Excellency, Alh. (Dr.) Yahaya Bello (CON) the Executive Governor of Kogi State. He is happy to have the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) and JATTO FM within his ward that is Okene-Eba/Agassa/Ahache Ward. These are two media houses that have in no small measure contributed to the development of Kogi Central through their dissemination of news and educative programmes that has helped to set agenda for the people to live rightly.”
Speaking further, Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu added that, “some few months back, the NTA located at Okene-Eba was given a Sienna Bus still by the Governor. The news of this car gift to NTA filtered throughout the nooks and crannies of Ebira land and beyond. The operators of JATTO FM became happy for the NTA and also jealous at the same time praying that theirs will also be given to them. His Excellency, Alh. (Dr.) Yahaya Bello (CON) is not a political figure that will do things halfway. That is why he also gave me the go ahead to give a Sienna Bus to JATTO FM to help them with mobility.”
The Director General Government House Administration further encouraged JATTO FM to remain objective in carrying out their job of disseminating information without fear and also not minding whose ox will be hired as long as they remain on the path of truth.
Receiving the car keys from Alh. Dr. Umaru Oricha Shuaibu, Mr. Edward Jatto thanked His Excellency, Alh. (Dr.) Yahaya Bello (CON) the Executive Governor of Kogi State for including JATTO FM as part of the broadcast media houses he is ready to help.
He explained that no media house can succeed without mobility for its staff members which includes reporters and newscasters. Mr. Edward Jatto opined that there is always the need for reporters to be quick in getting to the spot where a news is breaking or where an event is taking place for the public to be abreast of happenings and without mobility this cannot easily be achieved by any media house.
He prayed that God Almighty will strengthen the Governor and Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu for the duo to continue waxing stronger in helping humanity and also helping organisations to grow.
