It’s closed – Man Utd issue statement on Rashford after Ten Hag talks

Manchester United, on Monday night, issued a statement on forward, Marcus Rashford, following crunch talks with manager Erik ten Hag.

Rashford was at the club’s training ground on Monday for talks with Ten Hag after missing their FA Cup win over Newport County.

The Red Devils have said the England international was unavailable due to illness.

But Rashford became embroiled in controversy after he was spotted in a nightclub in Belfast and missed training.

United have now issued a further update on the situation.

The statement read: “Marcus has taken responsibility for his actions. This has been dealt with as an internal disciplinary matter, which is now closed.”

Rashford is back in training and is available for selection against Wolves on Thursday.
