… Leave Nigerian Army out of your evil plans
The leadership of Global Peace Movement International, UK has called on the need for Nigerians to find solution to the challenges limiting democracy in the country, not calling for Interim Government.
President general of the international based anti-corruption crusader, Dr. Mike Uyi said in London on Saturday in a statement that stakeholders should engage in constructive criticism that can build the nation not things that will set us back.
He said those calling for Interim Government are only doing so because of their selfish interest and are ready to make sure they drag the developing democracy backwards.
“As an international Organization committed to the unity and progress of Nigeria, we are deeply concerned about the recent calls for an interim government to take over from the current administration. We believe that such a move would be unconstitutional and could set a dangerous precedent for our democracy”.
Uyi further commended the leadership of the Nigerian Army for their stand of making sure that democracy stands in the country.
“In the history of Nigerian democracy, this is the first time the Army has shown high level of professionalism in carrying out their constitutional duties.
“This is made possible because of the leadership of the Army lead by Lt.Gen. Faruk Yahaya, a man who has change the nagative perception of the Nigerian Army to positive perspective in line with other developed countries of the world.
“We at GPMI believe in the professionalism injected into the Nigerian Army by this great general of our time and we are urging all Nigerians at home and in diaspora to join hands with the Nigerian in discharging their constitutional duties.
“It should be on records that the Nigerian Army cannot meddle itself with some failed politicians that want to drag the country into anarchy. The Army will never do what will destroy the feature of the country down. Leave the Army out of your evil manipulations”, Uyi warned.
