Manchester United goalkeeper, Andre Onana, has admitted he was fortunate to get away with a late penalty shout during their 1-0 win over Wolves on Monday night.
A second-half goal from Raphael Varane sealed maximum points for the Red Devils.
But Erik ten Hag’s men rode their luck in the final stages of the match at Old Trafford.
Onana, who was making his competitive debut for United, somehow escaped punishment when he clumsily clattered into Wolves substitute Sasa Kalajdzic in stoppage time.
Fans and pundits were shocked that neither referee Simon Hooper or VAR decided that the incident warranted a spot-kick.
Speaking after the game, Onana hinted that he would have had no complaints if a penalty had been awarded following the clash.
He said: “I made the decision and am responsible for everything, there was contact between two big guys.”
