One of the councillorship aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in ward ‘A’ Lokoja Local Government Area, Kogi State, Ruth Dada, has said that her aspiration is centred around repositioning his ward by facilitating developmental infrastructures to the community.

Ruth Dada, who has been in active politics for several years, revealed that she has embarked on a vigorous consultation visit to stakeholders in lokoja local government area.

According to her, “I have started paying visit to our political leaders in lokoja to formally inform them about my Councillorship ambition, the response she is getting was very encouraging “.

She explained further that with her wealth of leadership skills, exposure and political knowledge, she intends to maximize the influence of the office to facilitate development to her ward, if elected as the councillor in the local council poll come 19 October, this year.

In her words; “I have been a resident of this community for more than 20 years and I’ve been part of APC from Inception, Beyond any reasonable doubt, as the largest ward in lokoja local government, Ward ‘A’ should be the face of the constituency in the area of infrastructural development and youth empowerment but, it is unfortunate that we are far from that position. With my involvement in politics and my leadership skills, I will ensure I use the office judiciously to facilitate growth into Ward ‘A’, she tressed.

Ruth, Who is presently the only female Councillorship aspirant in ward ‘A’ said she believes that politics should be played according to the rules, “politics is not a do or die affair, whoever gets the ticket, so be it, but I’m confident that it will be me at the end of the election”, she said.

” My call to the entire youth of APC, both young men and women is that they should rally round me, give me their maximum support and I promised that i will be obedient to them , , make them happy, and I will always carry them along”, she assured.
