IGP to set up special squad against bandits in FCT

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Kayode Egbetokun, is set to launch a Special Intervention Squad, SIS to arrest the recent surge in kidnapping, killing and other activities of the bloodthirsty bandits in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT,

The IGP said the special operations, when launched, would be deployed to all Area Councils in the nation’s capital city.

According to reports, the gunmen have, in the last few weeks, attacked and kidnapped several residents of the territory.

President Bola Tinubu and the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike had assured residents of their commitment to ensuring that the security situation is brought under control.
