Idoma Community In Kogi Backs Tinubu, Ododo For 2027

The Idoma Community in Kogi State has pledged its support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in the 2027 elections.

The community made the commitment at a strategic meeting of its executive members from the 21 local government areas of the state in Lokoja on Saturday.

Chairman of the community, Enebi Friday, said the Idoma in Kogi were ready to mobilise their members and contribute meaningfully to the success of the two leaders at the polls.

He said members had been sensitised to obtain and keep their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ready to ensure the victory of Tinubu and Ododo.

Friday disclosed that the community had also mounted billboards in strategic locations, including Itobe, Koton-Karfe, Anyigba and other parts of the state, in support of the president and governor.

He commended the Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Bashir Abubakar Gegu, for donating a transformer to the Idoma Community in Kogi Local Government Area, saying the gesture had improved the living conditions of residents.

The chairman stressed that the Idoma in Kogi operate as one united community rather than merely an association.

He said the community had also mobilised Idoma people in neighbouring Benue State to support the re-election bids of Tinubu and Ododo.

Friday noted that the Idoma people had enjoyed peace and acceptance since migrating from Benue State to Kogi, describing the state as peaceful and accommodating.
