Former Aston Villa striker, Gabriel Agbonlahor has slammed Manchester United winger Antony for his recent on-pitch antics.
Antony, 23, was involved in a tussle with Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister during Man United’s Premier League 1-0 defeat a few days ago.
The Brazilian kicked out at the Argentine during a heated incident.
Speaking to Football Insider, Agbonlahor hit out at Antony, saying the attacker is an idiot and he is frustrated with his own performances this season.
“I think he is a bit of an idiot, to be honest. There was no need for that tackle on Mac Allister, and then he is trying to go chest-to-chest with a giant in Lewis Dunk. He would have destroyed him.
“Is Antony frustrated with his own performance, and that is why he is lashing out? He can’t take a player on, he can’t beat a man, he can’t get a shot on goal. He’s got to be frustrated with his own performances this season,” he said.
Antony joined Man United from Ajax last summer.
