Former Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi, has cleared the air on his rumoured long-standing beef with legendary singer, 2face Idibia aka 2baba.
Reports claimed that Mikel Obi ignored 2baba at a nightclub in London in 2006.
A few years later, the singer released ‘Only me’, which many fans assumed was about the alleged beef.
However, Mikel Obi has now claimed that the incident never happened.
The former Chelsea midfielder insisted he is a fan of 2baba and would never disrespect him.
On Instagram, a user with the handle @xfranky22 commented: “Did you truly snub 2face at a club in London back in 2006?”
In response, Mikel Obi said: “No, I never did. Am a big fan of his. So I wouldn’t do such a thing. Have a lovely day.”
