Hope he learns from it – Hasselbaink calls out Chelsea star for costly mistake

Former Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has called out Levi Colwill for his costly mistake during Wednesday’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.

Recall that Mykhailo Mudryk put Chelsea in front at Stamford Bridge but Michael Olise equalized for Crystal Palace just before half-time.

Olise had been left unmarked at the back post and fired past Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic following poor defensive work from Colwill.

However, Noni Madueke scored a late penalty to give Mauricio Pochettino’s side a 2-1 victory against the visitors.

“From a Chelsea point of view, they are going to be disappointed,” Hasselbaink told Amazon Prime in his analysis.

“If you look at what Colwill does, he goes and attacks the ball. He doesn’t have to.

“He gets underneath the ball. If he stayed in his position, he would have headed the ball away and Olise cannot take a touch. He is learning. Hopefully he learns from this mistake.”
