Hon. Yakubu Officially Resumes Office as Auditor-General for LG, Tasks Staff on Dedication to Duties

Having passed through the screening and confirmation processes of the Kogi State House of Assembly, the new Kogi State Auditor-General for Local Government, Hon Yakubu Siyaka Adabenege popularly known as Fancy has officially resumed office at the state secretariat, Lokoja.

This is sequel to the formal handing over exercise by Mr Chris Emmanuel who has been in an acting capacity since last year when Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman resigned to contest for the governorship seat of the state.

Hon Yakubu who once again appreciated the immediate past Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman reiterated that he would act within his professional capacity to justify the confidence reposed in him.

In a briefly meeting with the Directors and some staff of the agency, he solicited their maximum cooperation to succeed in the new assignment.

While charging them to be more committed in their respective duties, the Auditor-General promised that their welfare would be his utmost concern, adding that the offices housing all the staff of the Auditor-General for Local Government would be expanded and equipped to ensure maximum productivity.

Aside from Mr. Chris Emmanuel, the Former Auditor-General for Local Governments (AGL), other Directors that were present were Mr. Monday Ekpa (Director of Audit), Mrs. Aino Roseline (Director of Admin and Finance), and several other staff who all declared their readiness to support Hon. Yakubu to succeed in his new task.
