Hon.  Marshall Katung Wins PDP Senatorial District Ticket

Former member representing Zango Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency, Hon. Sunday Marshall Katung, Today emerged winner at the just concluded PDP primaries in securing the ticket of the Kaduna South Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial ticket.

The returning officer, Sabo Babayaro, while  announcing the result,  said the former lawmaker polled 112 votes to beat the incumbent Senator,Danjuma La’ah who scored 74 votes. While the member representing Jema’a/Sanga, Hon. Nicholas Garba, came third with 52 votes. 

Also the  member of the Kaduna House of Assembly, Samson Monday Dikko, polled 21 votes, while a former member representing Kachia-Kagarko in the House of Representatives, Hon. Jagaba Adams Jagaba, trailed behind with 7 votes. Barrister Mark Jacob and Mr. Suleiman Dauke had zero votes.

This is ‘one great achievement’ to us all in Southern Kaduna as we keep breaking grounds.
