Hon. AbdulRafiu Yakubu, A Philanthropist With A Heart Of Gold

To have and give, expecting nothing in return is a rare trait possessed by very few men. Few men who are compassionate and godly, becomes rare and is termed “philanthropy extraordinaire,” especially in Nigeria

Hon. AbdulRafiu Yakubu has provided his people from Lokoja/Kogi federal constituency with several essential amenities such as water, light and roads lacking in particular areas in his community, which he found in his heart to ease the protracted problems of his people by taking the bull by the horn.

Silently and diligently, with passion, he started realizing and fulfilling his dream for his people in earnest. He achieved all this without publicity and social media engagements.

Yakubu, a silent achiever, organized and coordinated a group of his people especially the peasant farmers to give them all farming implements to ease their problems during the farming seasons.

He single-handedly sponsored the drilling of boreholes at various locations in Lokoja -Kogi local government areas and went further to resuscitated some damage roads in the area

His benevolence didn’t stop there. Knowing the benefits of education, as an Educated person, he came up with an idealogy that no child in the constituency should be left behind in terms of basic education. He solely embarked on awards of various scholarships to students in primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions.

His kind-hearted nature never ignores the less privileged. With his belief that no one from Oworo and Lokoja-Kogi should go to bed hungry, with dignity, he provided seasonal palliatives of all kinds, in addition to distributing food items.

AbdulRafiu Yakubu also pays hospital bills for individuals, establishes businesses and sponsor people in various vocational training like plumbing, hairdressing, tailoring, motor parts dealership, solar panels and CCTV installation. Most of the beneficiaries are widows and orphans.

His genuine love and affection for his people wasn’t unnoticed. The people from the community, Oworo are calling on the traditional rulers to bestow on Him chieftaincy titles, inorder to encourage him to do more for the less privileged ones.

A man of repute and dignity, who is an astute business man, Yakubu resides in Abuja, he is truly a blessing to his family, the oworos, Lokoja community and Kogi state in general.

AbdulRafiu is popularly called by the name Ajeu bunije “one who eats and remember others”, is testimonial, and a clear proof of the true nature of this glorious gentleman who is so handsome both in flesh and heart.
