Haaland inserts ‘special’ Real Madrid release clause in Man City contract

Real Madrid would pay less for Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland, than European rivals, AS reports.

Haaland only arrived at the Etihad in the summer of 2022 and scored 52 times as City won a historic Treble.

The Norway international has signed a contract until 2027, but he might not see it out.

There is talk of an exit clause existing in Haaland’s contract, which could be triggered by teams outside of England.

The reports of €200 million being required to do a deal, are said to relate to interest from another Premier League club.

The fee involved for Real is said to be “much closer to 100 million than 200”.
