Guber Election: I’m not losing sleep over political parties endorsing PDP candidate – Uba Sani

Uba Sani, the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kaduna State, says he is not losing sleep with the political parties endorsing Isa Ashiru, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate.

The gubernatorial candidate, who is the present Senator representing Kaduna Central, made the observation during a chat with Arise TV on APC’s chances of winning the governorship seat in the state.

About nine gubernatorial candidates under the platform, “The Kaduna State Rescue and Rebuild Gubernatorial Candidates Forum”, have recently endorsed the PDP gubernatorial candidate ahead of March 18 governorship election in the state.

The nine parties are the Young Progressives Party, Action Alliance, Allied People’s Movement, Action People’s Party, All Progressives Grand Alliance, and National Rescue Movement, as well as the leadership of the Accord Party, Action Democratic Party, and Zenith Labour Party.

Senator Uba Sani explained that he was not worried about the coming together of the nine political parties, saying that are not popular enough in the state to worry him.

According to him, “Let me make it clear that I’m not really worried about the so-called political parties that came out last week to support my opponent. The people of Kaduna State are very clever. We are cosmopolitan, we are wise people. And they are aware of what’s happening politically in Kaduna State.”

He expressed confidence that the people of Kaduna would go out to vote for APC based on their track records, saying that Isah Ashiru, just like him, has the opportunity to represent his constituency in the National Assembly.

He added that Ashiru was in the National Assembly for eight years, and the people of Kaduna State are aware that in those eight years, he did not sponsor a single bill, not even a single motion, stressing that they are aware of who he is.
