Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has said the club could win the Champions League trophy this year because Romelu Lukaku missed a great chance in the final.
Rodri’s goal proved to be the winner in Istanbul, as City finally won a European competition for the first time in their history.
However, it could have been a different scenario if Lukaku’s header had gone in.
“I’m European champion because a striker missed a clear header from three yards away, Guardiola told a press conference on Monday.
Lukaku’s future at Inter Milan is up in the air, as his one-year loan spell from Chelsea comes to an end this June.
