Group faults Kingsley Fanwo for branding Ebira people as terrorists

A group, Kogi Alliance for Justice and equity has described as unfortunate the assertion of Kingsley Fanwo’s, Kogi state commissioner of Information to the effect that 51% of crimes committed in Nigeria are carried out by people from Kogi central.

They noted that for such a statement to have come from Governor Yahaya Bello’s spokesman, Kingsley Fanwo speaks volume

In a statement signed by Amos Sule and Nasiru Yisa, chairman and Secretary respectively, regretted that by that statement, everyone from Kogi central now wears the unfortunate garment of terrorism.

They called on the people to quickly rise above sentiment and divisive politics and correct this impression created in the minds of Nigerians.

“The governor has a responsibility to call his spokesman to order or better still ask him to do a retraction

“As it stands today an average Ebira man is a terrorist curtsy of Fanwo. This is not correct and must be resisted by all the Ebiras, irrespective of political affiliation.

“Going by Fanwo’s assertion, that means an average Ebira person is a terrorist. That’s Yahaya Bello’s spokesperson speaking about his people.

“How come Governor Bello was awarded best in security, if we are this bad as claimed by Fanwo.
